Interview with Mike Spadafora from OnceByTheAtlantic



OnceByTheAtlantic is a New Jersey/ Pennsylvania Pop Punk band whose been playing together for about a year.  I got a precious chance to did an interview with Mike Spadafora, the guitarist from OnceByTheAtlantic, but before read the interview check them out

Me : Can you please introduce about your band and the members?
Mike : Hi! I'm Mike and I play guitar for OncebytheAtlantic. Also in OncebytheAtlantic is Justin Mondzak on vocals, Bill Scarbrough on guitar, Justin Bylina on bass, and Bryan Dittemer on drums! 

Me : When did exactly you guys make this band?
Mike : Justin, Justin and I actually started this band before it was called OncebytheAtlantic. We called it Red Light Go! (haha). I eventually found my old friend Billy and almost immediately asked him if he wanted to start playing with us. That was about March of 2011. Almost right after that we changed our name to OncebytheAtlantic. Now... we just got a new drummer this October. So I like to think the band was officially created in October 2012.

Me : Why did you guys choose Once By The Atlantic as your band name?
Mike : We literally spent days trying to figure out a good name for us. Obviously, Red Light Go had to go. So I eventually came up with OncebytheAtlantic, basing it off of a poem by Robert Frost called Once By The Pacific. Because we are from New Jersey, we're right by the Atlantic Ocean. And so it was OncebytheAtlantic. :)

Me : Favorite song to play on stage?
Mike : I can't really speak for the rest of the guys, but my favorite song to play on stage is our original song called, Last Night Of Our Lives. It's upbeat and just an all around fun song to jam to! We're releasing it on iTunes on November 16th 2012!

Me : What band do you want to do duet with OBTA?
Mike : It's so hard to choose. We've played with so many amazing bands that consisted of such amazing people. And there are a countless amount that we haven't played with yet. If I HAD to choose, I would say Go Radio. Great group of guys and extremely talented musicians. It seems like they'd be cool to tour with!

Me : So far whats your favorite or unforgettable moment as a band member?
Mike : There are literally hundreds of moments with these guys that had me on the floor laughing my ass off. They're my best friends, so every moment is really unforgettable.

Me : Last one, have a plan to make an album?
Mike : ABSOLUTELY! We're just finishing up writing it. And recording it will start very shortly. It's going to have six songs on it which includes "Last Night Of Our Lives". We're hoping to release the EP in early 2013.

So guys, i finally got first interview with amazing lead singer of The Material and With Beating Hearts, Colleen D'Agostino Moreaux. It's a precious chance, but before post it on this blog and on www.teamthematerial.blogspot.com, i'll show you a few things about her from some sources. Check this out... Colleen D'Agostino Moreaux is a daughter of Michael DAgostino and Terri D'Agostino. She has two sisters, Angie D'Agostino Nelson and Shannon D'Agostino. She married to Jon Moreaux on June 21, 2008. A long time ago, Colleen moved to San Diego to pursue a music degree at San Diego State University, in its third year, she began playing with Jon Moreaux (guitar) and Noah Vowles (drums). FINALLY! It's my first interview with Colleen D'Agostino Moreaux. She's a nice person, and i love her answers, really inspire! I believe you guys will love it too. So check it out. Enjoy! Me : When is your birthday? Colleen : My birthday is March 29th :) Me : Can you tell me a few stories about your life?
